How Can We Help?

Camera Does Not Shoot While Traveling

You are here:

If your camera fails to shoot while Arago is driving through the designated positions to capture images, there are a few things you can check:

1. Jack Trigger Cable

Regardless if your camera is connected or not to Arago Control via the Camera Tethering Support, while traveling the camera is trigger via the direct line. You always need to connect the camera’s trigger (remote terminal) port to one of the available jack ports in the back of the tilt element. Arago Control automatically focuses and shoots via the direct line. In case the camera is already connected, try a different jack port.

Ensure the cable is properly fastened at both ends.

When using the “Shoot” button from the Camera panel, Arago Control will atttempt to trigger the camera via the tethering software. If your camera is not connected, it will fallback to the direct line connection to shoot.

2. Check Camera Settings

Ensure the camera is set to receive signals from the remote terminal port.

Some camera models allow granular control over the port and it could be that it is deactivated.

Make sure there are no other camera tethering software running in parallel that are keeping the camera busy.

3. Faulty Remote Terminal

Damage: Inspect both the remote and camera for any physical damage that might be preventing operation.
Clean Contacts: For wired connections, ensure that the contacts are clean and free of debris before inserting them into ports.

4. Camera Battery Levels

In case you are not using a battery adapter, if your camera’s battery is drained or too low, the camera will not trigger. Recharge or replace the battery if needed.
